Refund & Cancellation Policy

Who owes you a refund

This is the question that causes the most trouble in ticketing, so here is a direct answer. FairTix processes your refund. When an event is cancelled, we return your money through the same payment method you used — you deal with us, not with the organizer, and you do not have to chase anyone.

Behind the scenes we recover that money from the organizer, and that is our problem rather than yours. Whether the organizer pays us back does not change what you are owed.

Cancelled events

If an event is cancelled and not rescheduled, you receive a full refund of everything you paid — the ticket and every fee — within 30 days of the cancellation being announced. It happens automatically. Your tickets stop being valid at the same moment, so there is never a situation where a refunded ticket could still be used.

Postponed or rescheduled events

If an event moves to a new date, your ticket automatically moves with it — same seat, no action needed. If the new date does not work for you, you may request a full refund within 30 days of the new date being announced. If the event is rescheduled more than once, that window reopens each time.

If a postponed event is never given a new date within 12 months, it counts as cancelled and is refunded automatically.

Significant changes to an event

You may request a refund if the event changes in a way that materially differs from what you bought: a different venue, a headline performer who no longer appears, or a substantially different format. Supporting-act changes, set-list changes, and minor timing changes do not qualify.

Changing your mind

Tickets are generally not refundable simply because your plans changed — the organizer has committed to costs based on tickets sold. You have two options instead, and both are built into the product:

• Send it to someone else. Transfers are free. The recipient gets a working ticket and yours stops working.
• List it for resale, where the organizer allows it, up to the capped price. You are paid when it sells.

Some organizers do offer refunds within a window they set. Where they do, it is shown on the event page before you buy, and you can request it from your ticket.

Tickets bought from another fan

A ticket bought through FairTix resale carries exactly the same protection as one bought directly. If the event is cancelled, you are refunded what you paid — not the original face value — and the person who sold it to you does not keep your money.

Tickets that have already been used

Once a ticket has been scanned at the door it cannot be refunded, because it has been used. If you were scanned in but then refused entry for a reason that was our fault or the organizer's, contact us — that is a different situation and you are entitled to a refund.

How refunds are paid

• Always to the original payment method. We cannot send it elsewhere.
• Within 30 days, usually much sooner. Your bank may take a few extra days to show it.
• In money, never in credit — unless you specifically choose credit and say so.

Fees

When a refund is owed because the event was cancelled, rescheduled, or materially changed, fees are refunded too. We do not keep a service fee for an event that did not happen.

How to request a refund

Most refunds require no request at all. Where one is needed, open the ticket in your FairTix account and choose to request a refund, or write to support@fairtixnow.com with the event and the email on the order. We reply within two business days.

If we turn down a refund request and you think that is wrong, say so and a person will review it. If you are still not satisfied, nothing in this policy affects your right to raise the matter with your bank or with your state's consumer protection office.
